My name is Sherylanne. I grew up singing with family at get-togethers. I have sung with different bands, performed church specials, had a music ministry, and competed in talent competitions and karaoke. I have had vocal lessons and am experienced in harmonies. With my music ministry in North Carolina, I traveled for over a year and a half with a guitar player to different venues (churches, retirement homes, and events) and sang Christian songs and/or folk songs and others. We had a wonderful following. We collaborated well together and had the potential to do more musically. I really enjoyed those experiences, but I wanted to go farther with the music than he did.
I really appreciate good music with shared energy and comradery. I have lived in Kansas for about 6 years now and would love to join or form a band in this area with someone or a group with the same goals and love of music that I have. I live in Eudora, Kansas. I am 52 years young: I know what I want, and I am willing to dedicate myself to it. I am dependable, educated, and responsible. Music is important, fun, and inspiring to me. At this point, I have an open schedule and would love to rehearse and play venues.

Influences

I am a vocalist and backup singer with experience in a wide variety of genres. Although I have been influenced by and love ALL types of music, country music is by far the area of most interest for me and where my talents are brought out the most. I enjoy and sing the classics, such as Patsy Cline ("I fall to pieces"), to the latest, current country, such as Cam ("Burning House"). Crystal Gayle, Reba, Martina, Faith, Leanne Womack, Jodi Messina, Teri Clark, Anne Murray, Linda Ronstadt, Leanne Rimes, Lori Morgan, Alison Krauss, to name a few, are artists that have recorded songs that I have experience singing that would be a great compliment to the tribute to country music that you may have already. Although, I have experience singing other music as well and enjoy it very much. Classic rock and the Blues are also fantastic. I really just love a quality song. I also enjoy original music and have talents that could contribute that way as well.

I am confident that you would be pleased with my singing and what I can bring to the table---the backup vocals, the duets, and the lead singing of many of the well-known female artists and then some. I am a team player who loves the music stage. I am drama free and most importantly, I am ready.
I need to surround myself with quality music people that have that hunger and drive. It is difficult to find the right situation, but I am open to ideas.
My hope is to form or join a music group that displays both professionalism and a sense of fun, bringing great memories to the audience! I would also enjoy singing as I did before with an acoustic guitar player at locations.
