About
Update 3/19/2012: I'm putting another music project together. I've agreed to work with a singer from Oregon on a long-distance art rock project. We will exchange ideas through DAW's, and he will frequently travel to my home in Olalla/Gig Harbor, WA to write and record.
Update 4/22/2012: Kurt (the singer) stayed at my house for 4 days, and we wrote and recorded about an album worth of songs. We mostly improvised to get a feeling where this is leading.
Gravity: This is a 12-string song that I doubled the heavy part with using an electric through a Marshall. Kurt laid down a vocal part I thought was interesting. This song needs work, but the idea is there.
We have a bunch more songs that draw from a variety of genres and influences. We are mostly an experimental band, but we have a certain commercial flavor as well.
Update 5/13/2012 - I booked our band at a 3-day outdoor music festival in Oregon (July, 2012). I also booked us at another outdoor music festival in California (August, 2012).
Update 5/20/2012 - I got nothing from Bandmix and CL but negative insults about the music. Fortunately, I managed to get a pro bass player, and a pro drummer through word of mouth. They are full time musicians and are doing this as a side project.
Our first show is in two months and will be in front of a few thousand people, so I have my work cut out for me. This project is moving pretty fast.
Best wishes to all. :)
