Hello!
Rock oriented band with progressive & psychedelic tendencies seeking a (SERIOUS) bass player. We practice in the Channahon area as of right now but are looking to relocate to Chicago within the next year or so. We have a 7 song EP out already and are in the midst of recording our first full length, 11 song album. We play nearly all originals but are open to covers every now and then.
Requirements:
- Rudimentary understanding of music theory (scales, chords/chord progressions, time signatures).
- The willingness to progress and learn as a band.
- Your own equipment, and a basic knowledge of your equipment (troubleshooting, etc). We use a lot of effects, (pedals for example) but effects aren't necessarily a requirement for bass.
- Age 20+ (21+ preferably, but if you're close to 21 then that is acceptable).
- Able to practice AT LEAST once a week. We mainly try to shoot for twice a week if possible but we understand if things come up.
- Willing to travel for shows (and lots of them).
- Be creative! We want someone to be able to write with cohesively down the line.
If you can sing or are multi-instrumental, that is a huge plus and we'd love to have you. We do a lot of harmony singing and would like to acquire a keys player in the future.
