I write lyrics and music, usually with fingerpicked guitar in mind, but I've never been part of a band and would like to change that. My preference would be to start one rather than to join, with a writing/composing partner, and to eventually have an original repertoire. I have a good understanding of music theory and can read sheet music, though not on sight. I'm not a very strong singer but enough at least to teach my own songs, and my timing needs some work after so many years solo. I have an open schedule and depending on the group I have no problem practicing every day. I play acoustic music more often, but when using an electric guitar I fingerpick and try to emulate Neil Young, or Ry Cooder if with a slide. Very much looking forward to playing with people!
