Acoustic Guitar, Banjo, Mandolin.ABOUT
Looking for a guitar player, lead or rhythm, or mandolin player, or Banjo Player to fill out the 3rd spot in a Folk trio type band located in the High desert Apple Valley area. Players need to be able to also sing harmony backups. I play lead guitar, 6 string banjo and some fiddle. I have a stand-up bass player who also sings. I am looking for a cat that can rehearse at least once a week after 4:00 PM until we get tight enough to start playing gigs. You need to be someone that loves to play music and does (not) need count on music to make a living. My bass player is retired, I am a full time teacher, and I also lead/front a very successful 5 piece rockabilly-swing-jump blues band about 2 to 3 times per month on the week-ends. The older i get, the more i am digging folk music and some bluegrass. Looking to play for extra cash and or cool non paying venues like coffee houses that we can at least sell our CD's at to pay for travel time ect.
