ABOUT

What we've been up to:

We recently released an EP, Wilderness Radio, and we were really fortunate to have it be well received. Beyond the Static said, “Imagine Blondie going blues... incredibly catchy, sultry & classic sound.” Rawkus Magazine called our music – “Swashbuckling folk-rock melody sizzling with alt-rock energy.” The Other Sidecalled our release “Anthemic, insightful, sincere and experimental,” and said that “Trickshooter Social Club have you tapping your toes and bopping your head from the first second.” Indie Band Guru summed it up by saying, “There is something for everyone who loves real music here.” We headlined an EP release at Chicago’s famous Lincoln Hall and went on to successful short tours of NY and London in support of the release. We were also selected as a finalist in the Rooststock Music Festival outside of Paris and we were selected to play at The Great Escape festival in Brighton in the UK. Both of those festival experiences were absolutely great. We have recently placed a song in a US TV commercial (auto/off-road category, online and broadcast) and are planning to play another international festival in Hamburg next year. We have recently collaborated with Hana Pirana – an amazing musician and performer based in Surrey England. And we collaborated with Steppenwolf Theatre in Chicago to write and produce a night of original music, words and visuals all exploring the meaning of the American Experiment, from a variety of lenses and points of view. In creating this experience, we collaborated with visual artist, Tony Fitzpatrick (Steve Earle, The Metropolitan Museum of Art) and award-winning Playwright Reginald Edmond (Founder of Black Lives, Black Words). We were also recently commissioned by Kalahari Resorts to wrote four original songs that will be played at their resorts throughout the country. Finally, we were asked to headline a show in Chicago in support of refugeed families in the Ukraine – we were honored to be a part of a really beautiful night filled with music, hope, and support for some folks in need of a hand.

Bio
Trick Shooter Social Club is a full-on, lean-in, roots-rock band from Chicago that celebrates country, rock, pop, punk and blues with completely original electric rock music. Our influences include The Cash, Social Distortion, The Black Keys, Cheap Trick, Black Rebel Motorcycle Club, Tom Petty and early Wilco. We have previously released two albums and have just finished our third (American Experiment) at Chicago Recording Company with Grammy award winning engineer producer Jon Zacks. We have played with several national touring acts including Peggy Young and the Survivors (featuring Spooner Oldham) and recent shows have included gigs at Schuba’s, Steppenwolf Theatre Chicago, WGN TV, Pianos NYC, and the Whiskey a Go-Go in LA. We are proud to be regulars at the House of Blues Chicago, Club Metro and Lincoln Hall, and are regular guests on the Nick Digulio Show on WGN Radio. Our focus right now is to support our songs with a series of regional tours – bringing the music we truly believe in, to folks all across the country.
