Looking for a Johnny Jewell type (of Glass Candy) who plays keyboards and also rocks it onstage. or a guitarist. or someone with electronic music and production experience.
I program all my music and I currently have a drummer who uses both live and electronic drums. We have performed with other musicians or just a backing track, but we really need to find musicians who are a right fit.
It is basically a solo/duo project but I am open to collaboration. If you rock the keys or productions side, then that is definitely an area I am looking to improve upon.
Interested in being 'dance' and upbeat/fun but with artistic impressions, and also incorporating some other songs that are more experimental and just beautiful and moving pieces.
Someone once described me as a mix between Blondie and Bjork, and this is actually a pretty good description of the direction. I am also highly inspired by depeche mode, goldfrapp, the cure, glass candy and lady gaga's theatricals. I have been compared to Little Boots and Lykke Li but I definately want to create something new.
My drummer and I are located in Los Angeles/Hollywood and have a rehearsal studio and a home recording studio.
Currently recording an EP for summer release and looking to start rehearsals asap.
