I'm 29 years old, I received my first guitar when I was 10. My father has played in several bands during his time, mostly before I was born and a few after I was born. He taught me all I know about guitars and music, about harmonies and how a band works.
I can sing, lead or backing vocals / Harmony. I know all my chords and grew up learning to play by ear such as my father did. He told me to listen for the bass note to figure out the guitar chord. Now I can listen to a song and sometimes without even using a guitar I can tell what chords are being played.

My influences come from both my father and his taste in music as well as my own taste which I developed through friends who introduced me to new music.
The Beatles, Elliott Smith, Okkervil River, The Decemberists, Shakey Graves, Brand New, Spoon, The Black Keys and Modest Mouse are just a few of my favorite artist/bands.
I love music with great harmonies and genuine lyrics.

I have a Fender Strat, a vintage lawsuit Model Guitar who's brand name is Aspen ( back in the late 60s early 70s Gibson sued Aspen for copyright issues because this guitar is very similar to a Gibson 330 hollow-body. And then I have a couple of acoustic guitars, as well as an acoustic pickup. My amp is a Vox
