ABOUT
Have played rhythm guitar for a few gigs with a company band. Learned some basics of R&B music, but would like to expand abilities to play more music that I'm interested in and to have fun. Music has always been important to me and my musical ability is through listening and finding the notes on the fretboard rather than by reading music. However, i know there is so much that is learned simply by jamming with other musicians. If playing around and having fun turns into a "real band" then I'm all for it. If a "real band" could use the help of someone who is passionate about music, but also has other life commitments, I'm all for that. The important thing is to play music you love and be able to have the creative outlet for the music passion.
Generally speaking, I listen to Cracker and Dwight Yoakam the most because their mix of alternative, country, rock and blues. As bands they cover all bases and do it well.
Since I have a day job my level of practice and commitment depends upon my musical passion at the moment or the need to practice for upcoming gigs.
Playing lead at corp gig on my SG.
