I have been playing solo for a while and feel like creatively and professionally the way to move forward now is to put a band together. I play guitar and sing. I'm looking for a drummer, bass player and guitarist that are willing to work with a variety of dynamics, some heavy some more mellow and acoustic. To start with I'd like to do some acoustic oriented stuff, especially for a recording project I have in mind and then eventually get heavier. I like to shift between heavier and more mellow kinds of stuff in what I play. I have around 3 albums worth of songs written, but I am interested in this being collaborative and musicians who can bring their own ideas to the table as well. I am really looking for people who can make a commitment to rehearse regularly, and be ready to start recording and performing relatively soon.

I am a graduate student at Cal State Long Beach and live around Mar Vista. I am also into mountaineering.
I am not looking for hired musicians, but for people in it for the music. I would like to make money as a band though when possible, whether through performance, album sales etc.
I have been playing music for a long time and have confidence in my ability, my songwriting and my performance. I feel that I have interesting and powerful ideas and that with the right band we could make a good name for ourselves.
