EQUIPMENT

ACOUSTIC DRUMS: Yamaha Recording Custom 8,10,12, 14, 16, 18 TT, 24 BD in "deep aqua" (green) color. Several snares incl. a 4" deep Yamaha Peter Erskine piccolo snare that slays all.
Cymbals: Mostly Z. Full spectrum of splashes, crashes, etc.
ELECTRONIC: Roland 5 piece full electronic kit. Also Yamaha DD65 compact all-in-one unit for acoustic gigs or shows where there is no room, we've all been there.
OTHER: Lots of cowbells, woodblocks, tambourine, you name it.
THE MOST IMPORTANT THING IS WHAT DOES THE SONG CALL FOR, WHAT DOES THE SITUATION CALL FOR? I'm not one of those guys that brings a monster kit to a small sports bar gig. I also don't bring a small kit to a larger gig, either. It's all flexible, fluid, and patterned to the needs of the band at the moment. I'll bring and use whatever equipment is necessary to lay down the groove, set the foundation, and provide the support needed for a great show.
