I've been playing for over 25 years. I'm self taught, like multiple genres - classic rock, R&B, metal, hard rock, funk, jazz (fusion), latin jazz and rock, modern in your face rock, 80's rock, pop and some country.
I love to practice and I practice nearly every night. My attitude on cover tunes is "Like the record or better." I love a challenge so it wouldn't be often that I will say I cant play a song.
I can be available to fill in as a drummer or could be part of a band for classic rock and R&B bands on any night except Friday. Im not currently in a band so I am more available than usual.
I like to play what gets people up on their feet...even if it isn't my favorite.
I believe communication and respect are key necessary ingredients in a band. No yelling at rehearsals. If I play fast I want you to tell me. If you regularly play out of key I want to be able to tell you (Respectfully) without you getting offended. We all make mistakes. Lets help each other sound better!
I play for enjoyment but I like getting paid for what we do but Im not doing it to make money. Gas, drumsticks, heads, cymbals... aren't free so I prefer private gigs that pay well but I enjoy playing bars too. If you just want to get together and jam that could be fun too.I also enjoy giving back and will often play benefits for free. Please contact me if you need drummer for a benefit for Wounded Warriors, St. Judes, Childrens Hospital or something along those lines.
If you are a Sabbath keeper as well please let me know. Religion not important. Having similar schedules could help.
Im also into Latin rock and such. I grew up on Santana. Joining or starting a latin rock/R&B band would be great. I speak Spanish (Self taught) so I might could help vocally (more of back ground but I will give anything a shot.)
