My name is Tonny Luis; I’m a singer, songwriter and producer from Havana, Cuba. My grandfather taught me to play the guitar when I was eight years old, and as I grew I learned to master many more instruments like the ukulele, percussion, as well as my voice. I came to be the lead singer for one of the most influential musical groups in Cuba from 2002 to 2014 called ‘Mocala.’ This experience allowed me to participate and perform in many international festivals like Beijing Olympic Games 2008, Le Hum *ADD OTHER FESTIVAL LOCATIONS* . I have also traveled to *ADD CITY TO EACH* Canada, France, Portugal, Venezuela, Mexico, and China to showcase my talents and entertain mass audiences. I have more than 15 years of experience in the music industry. Since I discovered music was my passion, I have not failed to work on perfecting and finding the best way to able to express myself in a venture through music. My passion is expressed in my singing and instrument use. The songs I play and/or sing during my concerts are primarily written by me and part of my experiences. I have been living in the United States for four years now. I have formed a group and participated in festivals in NYC, as well as making presentations with my band in clubs. The music I mix blends with the vibe and environment of such an enchanting, wonderful city such as New York City. Currently, I’m working on my un-named album in which I intend to recreate a contemporary style of traditional Cuban music by enhancing rhythms and sounds to my own vibe . My dream is to introduce my style of music using electronic and acoustic sounds to anyone who can admire an imaginative and creative journey of a Cuban, American expressed in sound.
