Wake of Redemption is a heavy metal band of Christian faith based in North Carolina, USA. Formed in 2009, the band currently consists of guitarist Matt Hoover (who in the late '80's/early '90's, played with rock vocal coach Jaime Vendera), guitarist Nick Wiley, and drummer/vocalist Stephen Wiley.

General Requirements:
We are looking for someone who is excited about metal, easy to get along with, has professional equipment and who shares our commitment to Christianity. Wake of Redemption is not, by any means, a "Praise & Worship" band, but we are all believers and we see our band as a reflection of our thankfulness to God for the gifts and talents He has given us.
Potential members need to exhibit a high level of dedication to the art of music and be open to the possibility of touring.
Vocal Requirements:
Stephen already sings lead vocals and we have received excellent feedback on his voice from our fans. As such, we're really only looking for an a vocalist to free Stephen up from singing to concentrate solely on drumming live. We're looking for someone with a similar range (a little higher never hurts :-D), powerful voice, and an excellent ear. Some limited screaming is a plus, but Stephen can continue to handle this if need be.
Drums Requirements:
Conversely, back-filling Stephen on drums and allowing him to become our frontman is a definite possibility. Potential drummers need to be able to both play the parts that Stephen has already written for our current music and also be able to contribute to the writing process for future music. Stephen's playing style is similar to that of Brann Dailor from Mastodon - balanced more heavily towards hands than feet. Given the slightly old-fashioned nature of our music, this style lends itself much better to our band than someone who is crazy with their feet but who has limited abilities with their hands. Also, the ability to play in odd meter/oddly accented standard meter is necessary.
