New studio project!

We've got a sax and harmonica player so we can finish the current project. Hooray! Even though we haven't finished the current work, we've already started on the second release. Here's what we need to get this really rolling...

I'm looking for someone to work on lyrics with me. I have a terrible time getting things started, but no trouble at all fitting lyrics to music, rewriting lyrics or simply changing a few things to get it all to flow better. If you can play an instrument too, that might help, but it is not necessary! The studio group can easily put together full backing just starting from a basic melody.

I'm sure we'll be adding other instruments to this mix as well, so if you think you might like to be a part of it, just contact me at cleargravy I do not expect musicians to work for free!

Also, if you're looking to jam, feel free to contact us. We play every Tuesday night from about 6PM to 9PM. Since we're in the studio, much of what we play gets recorded. Players get copies if they want them.

Influences

We've been around a long time so have many, many influences in blues, jazz and rock. Our musical style tends to combine all three of these genres. We believe music is a living thing and needs to breathe. This means no one part is more important than another and each part is there to lead you to listen the rest of what's going on.

This group does not gig together, but we do gig with other bands.

EQUIPMENT

We own a recording studio. Too much equipment to list! Suffice it to say we have everything you could possibly want in a studio, including instruments and amps. We DO NOT have PA gear for gigging. Our practice space is the studio and the space provides a balance that allows everyone to hear each other clearly without the need for monitors or cans. This balance translates well to the recording process as we all connect with each other easily because the room was acoustically designed to provide a warm, natural, tone.
