ABOUT

I am a 46 year old, recently separated with a house, taken off track to software development which was a curse and left me empty and depressed. At the ripe age of 14 I absolutely, 100%, positively knew music was what I am on this planet to do but second guesses and a society that does not normally nurture this led me to software. Fortunately from 14 to 24 I did nothing but music and it confirmed it is what I NEED to be doing with my life. I attended Musicians Institute (GIT) in 89-90 year and then went back in 92-93. I love all kinds of music, I love all kinds of sounds and I love writing, playing, singing, even doing karaoke gigs as a KJ is fun for me. I have a house in the Griggstown section of Franklin Township (Princeton zip but 20 min from Princeton) I have the beginnings of some decent recording gear and I've been learning how navigate it (this is where the software really does pay nice dividends) I just need to play so anyone interested in playing, lets do it. Software is a very, very lonely profession and I am a people person, I love the interaction in a band setting, I love writing with people and exchanging ideas to create something we can be proud of, even if its temporary.

I posted a few be videos of the latest open mic's I've done with a neighbor and a friend.
I did use to play with Room Eleven in New Brunswick back in 98 or so and a bunch of other bands that never really seem to be serious but I am making drastic changes in my life, such as quitting software or at least just part time and looking to make music my main career. Yes, I know this will be significantly less money but money is an illusion anyway... right?

Influences

WHY DOES THIS SITE MAX the musical genre's at 4???!!!
Honestly, Metalllica got me into playing. Seek and Destroy back in 85 gave me the bug and for a while I was purely a Metallica, Anthrax, Testament and Slayer disciple but after hearing Stevie Ray Vaughan I immediately started to branch out. In music school they did focus on more of a Jazz oriented curriculum so I became a Jazz junkie for a bit. I literally like all kinds of music, YES country because they do put time and effort into songwriting, harmonies and I do just love bands like Zack Brown, Lady Antebellum, I LOVE Carrie Underwood for many reasons, Dixie Chicks, I don't care, if the songs is catchy to me and speaks to me I like it

EQUIPMENT

Currently, since I am a techie, I have the Line 6 Helix, a 7 String Iron Ibanez, an RG 655, an Ibanez Vintage Artisan, a resonator, a banjo, a Taylor acoustic, and Ibanez SG 4 string bass and a Manuel Rodriguez nylon string. I have a mac pro 12 core desktop running Logic X using an Apollo Universal as my interface, Yamaha HS80M Studio Monitors, a simple Mackie 1202 mixer and a TurboSound Qi15 powered monitors for a PA. I am lacking a drum kit and bass rig at the moment but did have a DW kit and an Ampeg that I am working on getting back. I have a full basement that is dedicated to music and can play without worry from neighbors on any given day
