SEEKING
Vocalist, Bass Guitar.ABOUT
Over the past several months, I have written and done scratch guitar recordings of 8 hard rock songs and am now at a point where I am starting to write lyrics and vocal melodies.
My goal is to find the right singer, put together high-quality recordings of the songs, and then play them out in an original band. I play rhythm guitar, and know other guitar players and drummers who are interested in being a part of this project. But I want to find the right singer before trying to piece the rest of the band together.
I have written lyrics and melodies on my own in previous bands. But I find it works better writing the vocals with the singer. But if you are a vocalist and not interested in songwriting-- that's fine too. I can finish the songs and then we can work together at that point.
I would say my music roughly ranges in style from Smashing Pumpkins to maybe close to Killswitch Engage? So I am open to any kind of rock singer with a great voice-- you don't have to be a screamer.
I really enjoy writing music and would love to find a singer to partner up with in this endeavor. Ultimately I'd like to do the best recordings we can on our own, play out the songs to work out any changes/tweaks, then possibly record them in a professional studio.
P.S.-- if someone out there happens to be a bass player and would be interested in working on original music-- let me know. I'm planning to play the bass guitar on my recordings, but I am by no means a bass player. Being able to also sing at least backup vocals would be a plus for the band, as I am not a singer.
Thanks
Andy

EQUIPMENT
Various Guitars & Amps. Right now I am mainly using a Schecter Tempest into a Mesa Triple Rectifier and a Mesa oversized 4x12 cab for recording the rhythm guitar tracks for these songs. I've been getting decent tones at moderate volume with this setup. I have other guitar amps, a bass guitar amp, and a drum set at my place for convenient jamming, recording, and rehearsing.
