Decatur, Illinois, based band is seeking a drummer. We play mostly originals and have a soulful, bluesy 60's - 70's rock style. As an example, some of the covers we perform are by Neil Young and Crazy Horse, Bob Dylan, Buffalo Springfield, The Hollies, Eric Clapton, The Doors, Steppenwolf, Tom Waites, etc. Our originals are similar in style.

Although we are a young band (two years in existence and an average age of 20), we have come a long way in a short time. We have just reached an agreement with a promoter to play concert level shows in one area of Illinois and have eight concert dates booked for 2008 in that city. We also recently played a significant venue in Champaign and are in negotiations for concert level shows in that locale.

Our original drummer is leaving to go to college. There are no hard feelings, and we wish him well. In fact, he will be performing with us until the end of the year to give us time to locate a new drummer and get him (or her) up to speed on our music. Our original drummer may rejoin us in the future, but it would be as a guitarist (which he plays better than he does the drums - he is an excellant musician on numerous instruments and we hate to lose him).

However, we are moving full speed ahead toward our goals. If you are a drummer looking for a new band relationship, and you want to play somewhere other than local bars, we might the band you have been looking for. The first show where the new drummer will be needed is schedule for January 5, 2008. Our original drummer can cover us until then. We believe that is sufficient time for someone to learn our music. If the new drummer can get up to speed prior to that January, 2008 show, we would love to get them involved earlier.
