At 10 years of age joined Chris Miller of Winston-Salem with a band called The Zens. From there I was with the VeeJays and Ovations ending with the Sounds Unlimited. We were the house band at the old Kona Kai Lounge in the Sheraton Motel off Miller Street and I-40. We had 4-part harmony singing the 40s through the 70s. I sang lead and the high tenor on the Four Seasons, Four Freshmen, Beach Boys, etc. and also did the MC work.

Influences
Four Freshmen, Ink Spots, Four Seasons, Beach Boys, Creedance CQlearwater Revival, Chicago, Blood, Sweat and Tears, etc. I also played bass and sang with my cousins in the Craft Brothers Gospel Quartet.
