The Bill Miller Band has been selected to represent the Charlotte Blues Society at the 2012 International Blues Challenge (IBC) January 31 - February 4, 2012. The competition will be held in Memphis, TN in the Beale Street entertainment district with the finals at the Orpheum Theater. With fiery lead guitar, smoldering vocals, wailing harmonica and tight driving bass and drums, the 4 piece Bill Miller Band gets everyone moving to their high-powered, contemporary interpretation of vintage blues. Bill Miller Jr. blows harp and shares vocals with Bill III. Heavily influenced by Albert King, Bill III took up the guitar in 1997 and first jammed on the Double Door stage later that year. They've been exciting Charlotte area audiences with their high energy blues/rock ever since. Their sound has been referred to as an amalgam of Stevie Ray Vaughn, Eric Clapton, Chicago blues and Southern rock. Professional equipment from Fender, Fulltone, Shure, DBX, JBL and Yamaha including 1400 watts of PA for small to medium venues ensures an enjoyable live music experience.
