ABOUT
The Band:
The Borrowed Time Band is a five piece band that was formed in 2005 in Spotsylvania, VA. The members are Vocalist Dennis Newton, Bassist Dale Stopher, Guitarist Bill Lamkin, Guitarist Rik Lawhorne, and Drummer Boogie Gray. All are highly experienced players that bring a lifetime of great music to the band. In just over a couple of years, the band has proven to be a musical force, rising through the club ranks and gaining a reputation for hard hitting, good-time entertainment. Borrowed Time is a band that plays high-energy, danceable country, classic rock, southern rock, R&B, and funk with devastating power and commitment that audiences simply can’t forget. In 2007, the band was an opening act for the touring Black Cash Band at Hard Times Café in Fredericksburg, VA. In 2008, the band was honored to play at The Patriot Park Amphitheater for Spotsylvania's summer concert series. The band has played corporate/community events for Waugh Harley Davison, The Fredericksburg Agricultural Fair, and local Town Hall parties. One of the band’s most recent endeavors was as an opening act for the country music star, Daryle Singletary, at Aquapalooza 2009 in Fairview Beach, VA. The Borrowed Time Band is driven by high powered vocals and soaring melodies packed into highly stylized arrangements that leave the audience wanting more. As for musicianship, the band boasts a veteran rhythm section that brings out the best of the classic guitars that rock this band's exciting stage show.
