ABOUT

Hello,
My name is Cary. I am the Bass player of a 3 piece (well it was a 3 piece) that's looking for a replacement drummer. The Guitarist (Ken) is also the lead singer. We are looking for a drummer that can play a variety of styles (cover song examples down below).... and backing/lead vocals are a major factor. I sIng lead on a few songs, but we do a lot of 3-part harmony stuff. Our last drummer (good drummer and vocalist) sang lead on about 25% of the material. He is being replaced due to his work constraints. We are older (not in our 20's anymore, but do like rather high energy songs. Our overall concept is to be able to pull off a variety of tunes you wouldn't expect a 3-piece band to do. Having a 3 piece (while keyboards are nice) allows us a lot of breathing room which we really like.

I have a recording/practice studio downtown where we generally practice every other Sat, but that is flexible. We have both played in Bands since High School and Ken toured professionally for years in a variety of cover bands (again...a while ago), and are looking to work fairs, private parties, events, casuals etc. We'd rather not do too many bar gigs as that gets pretty old fast and doesn't pay that much. Looking to play around once a month. While this site won't allow us to mention all the styles that we play, we do hit a bit of everything from Reggae, Ska, touch of Jazz-fusion and country as well.

I have a nice new state-of-the-art PA system w/fantastic effects software so as far as sound goes, it's very much dialed in. We are thinking of doing some (not too much) sequencing in order to spice up a few songs that need horns and such.

If you want a full list of what we were doing previously, please check out this site for our old song list ://.3theband/song-list.html
