ABOUT

It's hard to find anyone my age that wants to rattle windows and loves rock as much as I do. I just want to get with some guys who want to rock out and have some fun! I am the world's biggest Motorhead fan and have the hearing issues and tattoos to prove it. I've been playing guitar off and on for many years. Recently got very serious and obsessed with getting better and always looking for ways to improve. I am committed to practicing and getting better (or maybe I should just be committed) but I'm also committed to having fun. Very willing to learn new stuff within my tastes but I won't sellout just to be in a band. I love being a part of the engine/motor that drives the heart of a song. Don't care about the spotlight. It's about the music. I don't have an ego and love constructive criticism...as long as it's constructive. I believe It's possible to learn something from any guitarist at any skill level.

I can't stand hearing the same old song list played over and over by most bands in the area. So having said that, I refuse to play any of the standards such as Mustang f'ing Sally and Brown Eyed Girl. I usually get up and leave when a band starts to play Sweet Home Ala-f'ing-bama and I can not stand Free Bird! But, just because I'm a Motorhead fan does not mean that's all I want to play!

I would rather spend weeks/months on perfecting a hard song that comes from nowhere than add "filler" to a set list. A strong set list that challenges me as a musician and entertains as a fan. I want to play music that makes people stop their conversation, listen, and rock out.

I love hard-edged blues/rock and metal. I fall short of the "Cookie Monster" voice thing. I need some tone and substance. I know, Lemmy is not exactly a choir master but I think you get the idea. I'm an old guy with an undying love for Marshall loudness. I spent eight years in England and was exposed to some of the greatest British metal you can think of during the early eighties. My "Last Will and Testament" states that "Killed by Death" will be played at my funeral.
