ABOUT

I’ve been an intuitive/self-taught percussionist, piano and guitar player since my pre-teen years, and grew up in a family of musicians. Recently I took a renewed interest in my own Celtic family roots and with that, it’s traditional music. I began to learn the Irish hand drum, (the bodrhán) and am now looking to join with at least one or two other Celtic folk musicians—at least a guitarist and/or a fiddle player. I’m primarily interested in instrumental folk songs, or even to writing original songs in a traditional Irish or Celtic folk mode. I also happen to be an intensely devoted Tolkien reader, and would love to start a band/troop under the name “The Springle-Rings” (but that’s neither here nor there unless I find a few other musicians of like mind.) If you’re interested, I would be available once a week, to start, for initial rehearsals and rough sessions to try and find chemistry and flow.
