Damien Byrne was born and raised in Cincinnati, Ohio. Realizing from a young age his love for music, he was determined to make his own. Knowing that he didn't have the voice, or lungs for that matter, to be a vocalist, he soon found his own musical voice in the form of a 6-stringed instrument... the guitar. Determined yet to take his new- found voice to the fullest extent, he soon started taking lessons from local music store, Keller Music. Damien took lessons for four years at Keller Music from Instructor, Carl, guitarist from Cincinnati band Entheos. His lessons continued in school, where he played guitar in Instrumental Ensemble at his local High School. In 2003, Damien formed the band TourniKueT with Cincinnati local musician, Mosh. The band released a few demos and performed a few shows before, in 2009, becoming NekroTrip. Damien and the band did a few performances promoting NekroTrip's new material, even including an acoustic performance at East End Cafe. Now, Damien breaks away from the NekroTrip scene and is focusing his attention on his new band, VERTICAL COFFINS.
