ABOUT

Is it possible that a musician can be in three places at once? A typical Dani-Mari week's itinerary may consist of a show at Grape Street, a dash across town to the Tritone, a few open mics (such as her co-hosting job at the Tritone), and a dovetailing of her week via a jaunt into the suburbs at Arianna Miles in Quakertown (opening for Jeffrey Gaines). Thirdly, along the way, her senior-producer role in Acoustic Philly enlists her talents as a show booker (Grape Street, December 8, Coffee Club, December 30), talent recruiter and manager (she helps manage shows for over 70 performers), street-team organizer (they hang up the posters), and communications specialist (she keeps the organization's sprawling production team members in touch with one another). Her eponymously-titled band (Brian Seiple, bass, Matt McCann, lead guitar) turns the gently strummed rhythms of its maestro's acoustic songs ("Fool Me Twice") into pulsing sound machines fronted by a songbird, who, aside from having killer pipes, is not hard on audience eyes. There is scarcely a stage in Philadelphia that has not showcased the inimitable talents of Dani Mari
