ABOUT

69 year-old ex-lead guitarist from the early 80’s. While playing electric guitar has almost always been my passion, life and career became priorities that derailed any hope of performing for the better part of thirty-five years. I retired in 2020 and have since managed to reclaim much of the playing facility that I had back when.
That said, I have joined this site mostly to explore potential opportunities, although I really don’t have the time and energy I would truly want to devote to being in another band at this stage in my life. And being both retired, my wife and I travel a lot. I guess it would depend on the chemistry with the other band mates, the material we would play, and the direction everyone would want the band to go in. Also, I have no taste for unstructured jams; either be serious about playing things well or don’t. Advance planning and practice were always the guidelines that made my cover band successful.
NOTE: I have near ZERO vocal ability….just keepin’ it real!

Influences

All from the 70’s and 80’s. EVH is my hero and these days my hobby is learning and recording his catalog of music. I use Moises software to first eliminate the guitar parts in the original recordings and then use my Izotope Spire 'home studio' to record myself doing my best to play Eddie's parts alongside Alex, Michael and DLR. The audio track in my Bandmix profile is a compilation of snippets from those efforts.
