ABOUT

For starters I do have a few small projects currently running - a cover band and an original band. Neither of these projects play gigs very often. My current search is therefore to find an established band that is actively playing a few times a month that needs a new drummer. Thanks. Now something about me:

Playing since a little kid in Texas. I count about 15 bands over the years and no telling how many venues. Don't do metal or country. Do most everything else and of course that good old Texas SRV blues as I grew up on it. The Who, Zepplin, Hendrix, Clapton, Phish etc. all happen easily. Love Motown and funk. Several original projects over the years.
Looking for a solid local band that plays several times a month. It's not a get rich endeavor. It does have to be good musicianship and a band of brothers/sisters that hang together as well as they play together.

Influences

As far as drummers there's Ringo, Charlie, Bonzo, Moon, Stewart and a bunch of killer session guys. Let's not forget Buddy Rich & Gene Krupa. If you don't swing as a drummer you never gonna get "that feel".

EQUIPMENT

3 full kits. 2 DW and 1 Pearl. Zildjain Custom K Dark cymbals w/ dual hats on all kits. A stack of snare drume. Prefer Black Beauties and Black Magic's but have a variety. Lots and lots of toys like Roto-Toms, congas, cajones, blocks, bells, shakers - kinda endless as I've built kits over the years to address whatever music we were playing. Full QSC powered PA.
