I'm young and not a master by any means, but passionate about what I do. I write lyrics and melodies/harmonies, and love finding new things to do with my voice to develop a style that isn't on everyone's iTunes.
I unfortunately have a disposition for sounding like Amy Lee, however.
My style is Progressive meets Electronica while she's dating Alternative, screws her, finds out she was screwing her brother Techno on the side, and then stillbirths.
No one knows who the father is.
At this point in my life, music is currently more of a hobby, as I don't make enough money to support it as a lifestyle. I can dedicate weekdays or weekend mornings to practices. I am happy singing backup or lead, but I must be able to write some of the songs.
As for my writing, my lyrics tend to be about sex, psychology, revenge, or altered states of mind. I prefer writing somewhat vaguely, so that listeners can relate to the song in more ways than intended. I love using smartass comments, my lines frequently rhyme, and I choose words that are resonant together.
I take after a Shiny Toy Guns/Muse/Evanescence influence in my melodies and musical preferences, but all of my audio is lacking any guitars or bass or rock drums, making it sound far fluffier than it needs to. Therein lies my problem.
