Hi my name is Fia. i'm a mezzo soprano singer, voice described as sounding ghostly or angelic, even though I grew up being taught to sing like Amy winehouse or lady gaga's style of voice (which I can still do, but aesthetically I adore ghostly echoey vocals for this specific project in mind), I have also trained in opera and musical vocals.
I'm looking for composers/producers, with unusual instruments or any type of guitar, who have, or are open to avant garde ideas of exploring, experimenting and bending the rules of music.
i've been singing for about 19 years. this year, I finally graduated from college, when I was there, I got a minor degree in poetry, and I've been writing and writing with the goal of one day converting what I have into songs, but I got kinda stuck at the moment, because I cannot seem to figure out how to compose a melody or symphony when I don't have the knowledge to play any instrument.
for the project, what im looking for in style and genre is very complex and experimental. for an idea, my favorite artist is Siouxsie and the banshees, I admire their creativity, boldness, and experimentalism. the idea that I am trying to go for is a symphony, a song, that explores the juxtaposition of harsh and avant garde against classical and angelic. the musical equivalent of a biblically accurate seraphim.
using folkloric instruments, ambient sounds, classical instruments, with elements of punk, new wave, psychedelic rock, folk, operas, and a mixture of the eras and cultures. these ideas are mainly inspired by bands and artists like: siouxsie and the banshees, Os mutantes, los Hermanos, broadcast, shocking blue, Nancy Sinatra, the glove, boy harsher, the last shadow puppets, Erik Satie, Chopin, mitski, queens of Stone Age, the doors, goblin, Alexandra savior, Pink Floyd, SASAMI, the creatures, classical music, angelic choruses even.... etc... if you are interested in my idea, please contact me through my or spotify at zelda.sioux.
