Before settling in Albuquerque, Eric was an independent freelance drummer in the New York City area performing and recording with different Rock, Funk, Jazz and Blues bands.. Today he continues that endeavor in the Albuquerque music scene. His knowledge of music spans several genres including Jazz, Afro-Cuban(aka Salsa), Funk, Reggae, Blues, Country and Rock and Roll. Time, feel, groove and style are Eric's main objective to hold in the "pocket".

He began studying the drums at age 14 under Bobby Rock (Vinny Vincent, Nelson, Lita Ford). After high school, he went on to continue his studies at some of the finest institutions in the country including the Musicians Institute in Hollywood, CA, Berklee College of Music in Boston and received his Bachelors in music from the prestigious University of North Texas Jazz Studies program.
