HARLOT O’SCARA
It started with two gals meeting in a punk band called The Jackie Papers. They played for Chris Barrows from the Pink Lincolns for years producing great music and bloody fingers. After two releases on Stiffpole Records and Panic Button/Lookout Records, the band ended. However, Heidi & Jenny fought on, writing music and trying an array of bands. They still remained great friends with Big Stiff, from Stiffpole. So much so, that when Heidi said she wanted to start her own record label. Stiff gave her his entire distro to start it. Peephole Records was born and so was her band The Starlits.
While she was touring with The Starlits, she met Adam Rabuck, the front man and guitarist extraordinaire of Dirt Bike Annie. They immediately became good friends and played shows together around Florida when Dirt Bike came on tour. Years later, Adam emailed Heidi to let her know his family was moving to Florida from New York. Once here, he started hanging around the practice shed with Heidi & Jenny. After different lineup changes tweaks and polishing, Harlot O’Scara came alive. But they still needed a drummer. After a couple days on Craig’s List, Adrian Baptist answered the ad and came for an audition. It was a perfect fit. After three songs he was offered the job.
As fate would have it, Tim Hubbard now owner and operator of Stiffpole Records asked the band to join the label. They gladly agreed and are now working in the studio on their EP, releasing sometime this fall. You can find their 3 song demo at ://harlotoscara..
