peacefire is the brain child of pj kievit jeff keay douglas case and kenny benjamin, about a yr ago the band was dead in the water and my friend ricky rocket (r.i.p) told me about a band that was composed of his roommates. their singer had essentially quit the band and they needed a new one so i came down to jam with them, i was a good fit nice guys, i finally found a home and a family of band members. so i joined them and breathed new life into this act. ,then kenny the original drummer and singer passed away . i didn't know him very well but he was one hell of a song writer. then after we were finished recording the album our bassist jeff keay passed away. and our manager stepped in to allow us to continue to play. thank you ken.. then our drummer pj kievit another excellent drummer and lyricist in his own right lost interest in the act ant the same time doug and him fell out as friends and doug refuses to play with his former friend and drummers so i was left with a quandary let this awesome band die or carry on . i decided to carry on with the band . and it has been a constant uphill battle , but one i am willing to fight. so we are bringing in some new blood , and continuing to write new stuff i have high hopes it will be as great or greater than it was b4 .my hat is off to the original writers in this band the only song that i and douglas case wrote w/o help was use to be and crushed ....my words . dug ken benjamin and jeff keah wrote the music for crushed and i wrote the words based on my near death experience. the song is in no way complete however this site is the perfect place to place our newer stuff to our band mates its a lot easier than burning disks . so bewell everyone and keep up the good works
