Jerilyn Rae’s vocal credits include: Ct. Musical Educators Association Eastern Regional Chorus and All State Chorus The Sound of America Honor Band and Chorus – 2008 European Touring Company: Featured Soloist (while on tour – Jerilyn performed in such venues as St. Mark’s Basilica in Venice, Italy and The Notre Dame Cathedral in Paris, France – to name just two!) She has performed for The Mark Twain House Christmas Home Tours, countless solo pieces in private and/or church settings along with benefit concert appearances.

While music is “always playing inside my head”, Jerilyn will tell you that the theatre holds a special place in her heart. The live stage “where you have just one shot to get it right” is where Jerilyn really shines. Drawing from her audiences, Jerilyn is at her best. As an actress, since an early age, she has many community and regional theatre credits, including:

The Tolland Community Theatre Broad Brook Opera House Cirillo Summer Theatre of Windsor Connecticut Cabaret Theatre Central Ct State University (where as a non-student she auditioned and got the lead as Mrs. Lovett in Steven Sondheim’s “Sweeney Todd” and wowed audiences with her portrayal of the colorful, lovesick villain!)

With the guidance of Broadway actors Michael Lamb, Donna Lynne Champlin, Melissa Rain Anderson and Sherry Boone along with NYC Theatre vocal coach Steven Cirillo, Jerilyn has had the opportunity to work and learn with the best in the business… As a member of the The Actors Project NYC Theatre troupe in the heart of the New York Theatre district, she had even more exposure to the art….

Most recently Jerilyn has been expanding her vocal repertoire into the jazz and blues genres. She has been appearing with rave reviews with blues legends James Montgomery and Duke Robillard, blues and jazz musicians Mitch Chakour, Brad Hallen and world reknown jazz singer/songwriter/saxophonist extrodinaire Grace Kelly.

Best said by Steve Nielson – director of Worship and Music, Trinity Covenant Church of Manchester, CT and member of The Manchester Arts Commission Hall of Fame – “ Jerilyn is a delight! She has a crystal clear voice, which she compliments with excellent technique and stage presence far beyond her years. A gifted performer, she is equally adept in numerous genres, including classical, sacred, pop, jazz, and Broadway”.
