Been playing string instruments since I was about 8 yrs old. Danceband music with my upright bass was first gig back in hometown. In college 1960's formed with a bluegrass band "Dusty Road Boys" back in southern Illinois. Quite good. Went onto electric bass playing in Blues band "Night Owls". Went onto Chicago and were an opening band for the likes of Bo Diddley, Baby Huey.

Influences
Greenbriar Boys, Flatt/Scruggs(Dusty Road band opened for them), Reno/Smiley, Johnny Cash, Merle Haggard and the list goes on.
Our rock band Rainy Days opened for Tommy James & Shondells and Jose
Felliciano. Can you imagine being a musician in the 1960's? It was the most exciting time of my life That's when it all began.
EQUIPMENT
I currently have a Gibson J-50 vintage guitar. An Epiphone bass guitar. Looking to pick up an upright as soon as I can find one
