Seasoned singer with experience as lead vocalist in cover and original music bands.
I’m a preacher’s daughter who grew up singing in church. As a young adult I spent a bit of time in the studio singing hooks (choruses) for friends who were rap/hip-hip artists and singing backup (both live and in studio) for a friend’s indie pop-rock band. I eventually joined a later iteration of that band as lead vocalist and we played at local bars around OC for the next 5 years. In more recent years I’ve been the lead vocalist for the company band at my work (a global financial services firm.)
Aaaaand, I sing a lot of karaoke because I can sing 5 different genres in the same night. I constantly get told that I should try out for AGT (or American Idol, which I am much too old for), but I have zero interest in that. Instead I’d like to join a local cover band and play some gigs on the weekends to make a little extra money. Also open to “session singing” gigs.
