The goal of LunaSonic is to throw one helluva party and take our audience on a high energy musical journey from past and present eras. Our new band is looking for a female vocalist that can also play keyboards and/or guitar. We always welcome fellow musicians to join us on the weekends, have some fun making music, and playing gigs in the local area.
We are putting the final touches on our sets to start playing gigs in the local Northern VA area. A sampling of some artists that we cover includes some Metallica, Stone Temple Pilots, Five Finger Death Punch, 3 Doors Down, Live, Billy Idol, The Clash, Eddie Money, Green Day, Bad Wolves, and Staind. We also play ... and are looking for a female vocalist who can take over the stage with songs from The Pretty Reckless, Pat Benetar, AC/DC, Twisted Sister, Blondie, Joan Jett, Allanah Myles, and a few more. We plan to add some Dorothy and Halestorm songs as well. Of course, we're always interested in covering other artists. Just let us know who your favorites are and we'll have them ready. The near-term plan is to build a fan base playing covers and then add a few originals when the time is right.
We are a drama-free band who just have a great time together and have a blast jamming together. Check all attitudes at the door. Our primary goal is to have fun and enjoy the ride. Our plan is to play gigs approximately once a month, since we all have jobs and families. We are not looking at this as a way to pay the bills and have no plans to tour - just local area gigs.
We play great/impact rock songs (no 3 chord wonders) and we really don't care what decade it's from as long as it rocks, we love playing it, and the crowd loves hearing it. EQUIPMENT
We have all equipment ready to put on a show. Professional mixer/PA with lots of speakers, and racks of lighting equipment. We have a keyboard, but if you have one you're comfortable playing, bring it and your voice. Let's rock!
