Hello! My name is Mary and I recently moved to Berkeley. I'm looking to dust off my clarinet and join/form a casual band, with the simple goal of playing music again and perhaps becoming solid enough to play in cafes or open mic nights from time to time. I have about a decade of experience in formal bands/orchestras, but would like to try something new. I've played in a Jazz band before, but that was quite awhile ago. I'm not sure how to describe the genre I'm interested in except that it's the kind of feel-good music you'd hear in a European cafe, perhaps with some swing-type Jazz elements (not so much into smooth jazz and noodle-y solos -- sorry).
