Influences

I have been playing the accordion and guitar since 1966. Then I started with the organ and piano. I learn left handed bass playing on the accordion and keyborads by listening to The Doors.

I grew up on the late 40's, 50's,60's,70's rock & roll and blues and country, standard and Cajun, Zydeco, French Canadian music. I love to jam with just a acoustic accordion or guitar with just a drum machine.

I have a solid training in the Palmer-Hughes accordion training. I learn the guitar and bass guitar on my own. I have play the accordion ,guitar and bass guitar in different groups over the years.

The history of my style is mix where I learn the Palmer- Huges accordion lesson books. Then I used to practice with friends to learn rock and roll of that time in the 60's using the accordion and the guitar with a drum kit. What I learn over the years I was really playing Blues and before I knew what I was playing which was rock and roll.

Beatles, The Rolling Stones, Gary Lewis & The Playboys,The Doors, Santana, Allman Brothers, Crosby, Still, Nash & Young, Neil Young, Grand Funk Railroad, Alice Cooper, Peter, Paul and Mary, Bob Dylan, Sly & The Family Stone, Janis Joplin, Canned Heat, Led Zepplin, Jimi Hendrix, Richies Havens, Ten Year After, Steppenwolf, The Who, The Guess Who, Cream, The Flock, The Four Tops, The Spinner, Otis Redding, Marvin Gaye, The Temptations, The Box Tops, Johnny Cash, Grass Roots, CCR, Merle Haggard, Hank William, Conway Twitty, Loretta Lynne, John Denver, Jim Croce, Iron Butterfly, Rare Earth, Ike and Tina Turner Review, Johnny and Eagar Winter, Paul Butterfield Blues Band, Muddy Waters, Little Walter, Howlin Wolf, The Band and many more to mention. I do Gospel and Christain and Christmas Music.

NOTE: I did not play note to note on most songs, I ad lib my solo's and bass guitar playing, unless the guitar and bass guitar solo or parts on the recording is the important part of the song. I do not play a song the same way twice. This how I like to keep the song fresh and alive. Let the song live and breath!!
