Drummer trained in theory. I have played in lots of rock bands, blues bands, a fusion band, noise collaborations, and have been a hand drummer sideman... I have engineered in the studio, at live performances, and on the radio. I directed an improvisational group of rotating session players (The Blank Orchestra). My favorite thing is laying down the groove with a simpatico bass player and working the dynamics. I practice daily with a click.

EQUIPMENT
Currently keeping the rust off with a Roland electronic kit and Zildjian Cyms (I can't abide the stick feel of rubber cyms). I have owned and sold many drum sets over the years. I just need an excuse to buy a new one. I have a decent DAW with an Alesis io/26 firewire box, a Rode powered mic, a JBL powered monitor for the Roland gear (imagine, a drummer that can actually turn down), effects rack, a Peavey practice PA with vocal mics, fender guitar and bass with practice amps.
