My name is Nate Blakk, I grew up in West Virginia. Growing up listening to country, rock, metal, and rap, it started for me in 2007 when purchased a pc from a friend. I found a recording program named Audacity and started to learn the interface. I already had a microphone from the Rock band video game.
Hip Hop was my go to, it was easy for me to write or just come up with lyrics without writing. Moving forward, I was able to upgraded my equipment in 2009 I acquired the Adobe software where it had premiere and audition. I also got a mxl 990 mic, now I was able to record, edit, mix my own audio and videos. Learning the programs by using be tutorials, I was able to make my first mixtape and music videos. Dedicated and motivated, I never gave up... this was and still is my life. In 2012 my friend from Virginia Beach asked me to come out to pursue my music career. Him and I spent 3 months making an album. We went to venues passing out our mixtape to the locals, a week passed then we got invited to perform for a charity event named "Operation Warm Winter". Nervous do to the fact it was our first ever live show, we treated it as if we had done it 1000 times. Our genre of hip hop music was different from everyone else's at the show. It was more along the lines of storytelling country hip hop all in one. After the event we were welcomed with another upcoming event opening up for Bubba Sparxxx, and that's when the music became serious and wasn't a game.
Since the first Bubba Sparxxx, my friend and I have shared the stage with Bubba Sparxxx 5 times, and we also invited Bubba to come out to my hometown in West Virginia to do a show with us and it was a success. Nappy Roots, Tech N9ne, Lil Wyte, Stevie Stone, Rittz, Yelawolf, CES CRU, Stitches, Keith Murray, Jawga Boyz, The Lacs, Twang and Round Jarren Benton, and Hopsin.
After a few years of performing, traveling to events, partying, it was the 2020 when I moved back to my hometown where I turned to Rock, Metal, and Country music. Mostly covers but I also have made some original songs as well.
Its now 2022 and im still in my studio working on new material.
