ABOUT

Last project ended - we had a good run... Love those fellas

New project: cover material. Southern Rock / Classic Rock / Country. HEAVY VOCALS - Looking for other Swamp Dawgs: Rex, Rover, (need drums, another guitar /maybe piano). Vocally, looking for a dawg(s) who can howl in the upper register.

Interested - stratline6 (at G) mail with a "dot" and a "com" at the end

The focus here is to be everyone's favorite party band. Cover songs well, with room to "Swamp Dawgicize" them. Ain't no way I can sing like Brian Johnson from AC/DC, but people want to hear "You Shook Me All Night Long" - we'll deliver in our own particular style.

Since I'm going to head up this project - where I typically have been "the talent" and didn't trouble myself with the business end, I'm going to change, and take care of the bookings. We'll slog in the bars first, we'll have a built in following of friends and drunks who like to shake their rear ends.

While this dawg is old and welcomes others who have a little gray on their muzzles, We'll take on some pups who want to do it for the right reasons too!

Influences

Cover material would be anything from those 3 genre that get people shakin' their collective booty's. Since we'll be vocal heavy, the option to unplug, sit on bar stools and bring it at a reduced volume will ALSO be an option.

Members Of Band

Me (Ol' Blue) = Guitar and vocals....
Roscoe = Guitar / some keys and vocals...
Spot plays bass, but he was debarked - so he doesn't sing.

Between me and Roscoe we can cover most / all the guitar work fine - 80 years of guitar pickin' between us - but we're lookin for that one dawg up front who can bring a tenor vocal and fill in the rest - be it guitar, keys or whatever.

Drummers - if you CAN sing that's an absolute plus. But we're fine keeping our Dawg rhythm section focused on laying down the foundation.

EQUIPMENT

The usual - a PA, various amps and guitars, mics, cords, etc... And a converted garage as our base kennel.
