ABOUT

Relatively youthful white-collar oldhead who needs music to not be miserable.

Like John Entwhistle, my first instrument was French horn. Never appreciated my 8 years on the horn til I picked up the bass.

Influences

Bassists: Eben D'Amico's work in Saves the Day days is probably #1 overall. Definitely a fan of Mike Dirnt and Carlos Dengler but I'd rather play with my fingers when I can. And Eric Judy's vibe with Jeremiah Green (rip) was tough to beat.

Random Bands: Drug Church, Model/Actriz, the Lawrence Arms, Iron Chic, Can, the Police, and I wish WU LYF somehow managed to keep going and not disappoint.

Things I practice a lot: "He Called Me Baby" by Candi Staton, It's My Life (Talk Talk version), tieduprightnow by Parcels (maybe someday I can nail every last note) and of course Sell My Old Clothes, I'm Off to Heaven by Saves the Day.

Early 2000s Music Man SUB, Peavey Pro 500 with single cab, Acoustic 30W bass amp, Roland Fantom X-6, Peavey Classic 50 combo, early 2000s Kramer Baretta (not exactly worth mentioning but it does the job).
