I recently recommitted myself to guitar after basically not playing for 30 years while raising a family and working. I am retired in southern Vermont and focus on learning blues scales and some folk and country songs. I describe my ability as "intermediate." I would like to find others who want to get together and play with the goal of raising my level of play.

Influences
Basic rock and roll; e.g. Springsteen, Southside Johnny, soul groups, etc. Since getting back into guitar I listen to blues musicians like Stevie Ray, Gary Clarke, Jr., etc. and Austin-based music such as the Highwaymen. Also have a soft spot for folk music--early Paul Simon as an example.
