ABOUT

I am St. Holy Ghost. I am making this account because I have solo produced several songs in my home and need skilled musicians to learn the instruments from each track in order to play live performances. I will also need to re-record everything in a professional studio. There will also be a very selective period of discovery after members are selected. Some delicate aspects of each song are in need of creative direction. This creative process is not extensive, the majority of the songs are 70-80% complete composition wise but are missing the fine detail and delicate touches which personify the sounds and tones that I was attempting, say perhaps with drums that I executed quite well electronically. There is a necessity that a human plays those drums live, sticking to the rudimentary structure, style, and spirit but adding the accents and rolls they know will further enrich the sound as needed. The changes to any particular song will not exceed 10%-20% of its present composition unless there is a musical vision inspired which draws a complete rework of a sound. This will be less necessary with the drums, and more so with lead solos at the end of some songs, keys, and bass. I am good at what I do, but I am well observant of the fact that my guitar leads on some songs need spirited revisions and that my piano skills are not highly exceptional, but creatively and productively worthy . However, I must reiterate, the songs are already complete, so if you can accurate play what has been recorded and offer creative criticism where required, nothing else will be expected of you but to be yourself and love music. There is a full position needed for FX and Post Production. After our organization phase, I plan to seek live recording sessions. This post might look heady, but it is not. I approach music as spiritual tuning and I take that delicate process seriously, but also joyfully and freely with an open heart. I am not going to be down your throat at all. If there is mutual respect on the basis of reality, we will be completely fine.

Influences

My influences are highly varied, they cross so many genres that I have no explicable way of really categorizing them in this text box. Once you hear the music try your best to place it in a genre and I will gander with wonder at anything you come up with. We can discuss this better in person. I would like to hear your influences and then see if we can locate my interests within them.

Members Of Band

I want to keep the size of the band relatively tight but I know at a minimum that we will need a structure similar to that of Radiohead.

Myself- Lead Singer/Accompanying Guitar/and whatever instrument where I can improvise to cover ground

Lead Guitarist/Many Songs will require use of a looper and intermediate skills with such

Second Lead Guitarist/Keys

Third Guitarist/FX/Looper/Keys/Background Singer {optional: percussionist}

Drums/ The drums for my music cross several genres, so the individual in this role will need great expertise/Minimalist Percussionist (Future songs will require some advanced skills- Think S. Carey Percussion Structure alongside drums, may require extra position.

If it comes to it, we may need two drummers, but I will leave that decision to the skills of those who apply first.

Bassist - Confident, Solid, Reliable, and Cool

Keys - Preferred that position is covered by a highly skilled musician who can manage looping and various Effects and FX in each song, as well as some production skills to help with mixing and any Engineering revisions.

This is also not final, we may need two keys players, and we may also have to stick some background mics in different places for background singing with whoever is capable.
