ABOUT

Sarah Wood grew up in the northeast moving around where ever her parents next landed. She has been a featured performer at New York City's famed Lincoln Center for Duke Ellington's 100 year celebration, as well as played throughout all of Grade School and University with top spots throughout. Sarah is trained for Classical, Jazz, Blues, Contemporary, Funk, R&B, as well as Soul. After living in Boston for a few years she moved to Los Angeles to plant some music roots there. In L.A. she has found herself playing with outstanding performers such as Rob Giles and Byron Thames, and she currently plays with the bands Go West Young Man(Indie Rock), and Spittin' Lead(Ska/Reggae/Soul). Soloing with a sound that mixes jazz with contemporary and soul she blends well, but can stand out and up with the rest of them.
