ABOUT

I've performed professionally full-time for 30+ years, touring almost constantly in jazz combos, big bands, rock/country/pop cover bands, and piano trios as a bassist, group leader, arranger, and tour manager. Highlights of these travels were multiple concert tours across Europe, North Africa, and the Middle East.

I own reliable transportation, pro-quality equipment, and have no bad habits that could cause you to question my reliability. Comfortable in all styles. I read music (standard notation, chord symbols, Nashville notation), can transcribe quickly, and learn material fast. Ignore the genre selections...I had to select something, but can successfully perform most any contemporary style.

Influences

I have mostly inspirations drawn from the deity class of bassists: Stanley Clarke, Jaco Pastorius, Ray Brown, Vincenzo Maurogiovanni, Mark King and many others. To call them influences would imply I manage to play at the same or similar level as them; that would be an embarassing overstatement.
