The Skyla Burrell Blues Band is looking for a bass player.
We are a hard working outfit that focuses on original contemporary blues music.

We are based out of south central PA and when playing locally cover the MD, VA, DC, WV & PA circuits.

We have a booking agent that handles our road work. Touring as much as possible is what we love and our goals for 2024 include increasing the frequency and increasing our radius.

Sometimes the runs are short 4 or 5 days, other times the tours can last as long as a month, so we need a player that really loves what they do, as this is not for the faint of heart. Our touring markets include most of the Midwest & Southeast & Northeast.

We have released 6 full-length CDs of all original material; a lot is straight blues but we also stretch out quite a bit. Arrangements are key so there will be some work initially getting up to speed.

Please don’t reach out if you can’t work the schedule, we have a lot of friends we can use for fill-ins so we don’t need that, we need the unicorn of a player that is willing to work hard, respect the music and to be honest not make a boatload of money. Our shows average $100 to $200 per player and pre-pandemic we played about 150-175 shows a year, calendar is looking decent for 2024 so hoping to get back to that figure.
