ABOUT

Saw the Beatles on the Ed Sullivan show and have been playing guitar ever since. Played in electric rock-n-roll bands during and after high school. Gave up gigging when marriage and kids came along. Started playing out again in 2004 in a three piece acoustic trio called "Eastwind" from 2004 to 2010. . Played regularly at Cheeseburger in Paradise (Eastgate), Coyote Grill (West Chester), Michael G's
(Anderson Township) and other Cincinnati clubs/bistros/restaurants. Also did corporate and private gigs as well as concerts in the park.
Most recently played in an acoustic duo from 2015 - 2020. 15 -20 gigs annually wineries and bistros.
I'd call myself a pretty decent rock-n-roll baritone/vocalist with some Beatles/CSN attitude in my voice. Not really a "high harmony " singer nor am I a rock-n-roll lead singer / "front man" (per my standards which are fairly high ). I'm a decent acoustic guitarist who knows how to touch the strings and knows when and "when not" to play.
I'm looking for a 65-70 year old male to do an acoustic duo with who can hold his own singing and playing an acoustic guitar. Hopefully a Beatles/CSN/Eagles sort of a guy. Ability to play dobro, mandolin or harmonica would be a bonus.
All guitar tracks and vocals on my demo songs are me, I arranged, produced, recorded and mixed these song cuts for whatever it's worth.
Chemistry and fellowship is important to me. Playing once or twice a month at small venues around town would be good. I'm also open to the idea of returning to ensemble playing (for an established band) as a rhythm guitarist / vocalist who might play a lick or two of lead. However an acoustic duo would be my first choice.

EQUIPMENT

Gear :
Everything needed to do an acoustic gig. Various acoustic guitars.. Would need to buy a decent amp if I wound up playing electric guitar in an ensemble. I have a Strat for any "electric" gigs. I have more than enough digital recording capability to make presentable demos for an acoustic duo.
