ABOUT

Hello All, I am a 27 year old musician who is looking for other like-minded musicians who want to jam, and maybe potentially form a group of some sort. My primary instrument is guitar, and am working very hard on my bass and drums. My musical taste spans across all genres and is ever-expanding. I enjoy x-treme metal just as much as I enjoy classical music, hip-hop, R&B, and jazz, so my brain does not function solely within the metal genre. However, at the moment, I am interested in getting together with individuals who would want to play heavy, brutal, progressive, experimental x-treme metal. By x-treme, the bands in the vein I am describing would be: Job For A Cowboy, The Tony Danza Tapdance Extravaganza, Lamb of God, Veil of Maya, Keep of Kalessin, The Agonist, Dimmu Borgir, August Burns Red, Fleshgod Apocalypse, Necrophagist, Obscura and Whitechapel, just to name a few.
Should things actually potentially develop into a real group, it would be cool to actually work to writing material and getting gigs. It should be noted that I have NOT been in a band yet (basically a band-noob lol), and going thru the stage equip. setup process is also something I have not been through, so having somebody knowledgeable on those things would be helpful. For the beginning though, I am primarily interested in finding individuals who want to play that strain of music.
I also wanted to note that this would be a working musician’s band and would probably remain so for the long-term, simply because as awesome as touring sounds, we all have bills and student loans we have to pay off, so that type of full-time touring lifestyle is not really possible for individuals such as myself. Getting gigs as we could though would be absolutely favorable though.
Thanx 4 taking the time 2 read this!!

Like and actively listen to a wide variety of music. Metal, Hip-Hop, Classical, Jazz, Blues, Gospel, R&B, Film Music, Video Game Music, and even Pop/Contemporary Country. My "Big Four" are probably Metal, Hip-Hop/R&B, Classical, and Jazz.
